Macar perspektifinden permakültüre özel bir odaklanma ile sürdürülebilir kentsel gýda üretimi
Andrea UszkaiHUN-REN Ekonomik ve Bölgesel Çalýþmalar Merkezi Bölgesel Çalýþmalar Enstitüsü Batý-Macaristan Araþtýrma Departmaný, MacaristanSon yýllarda Macaristan'da da sürdürülebilir tarým ve gýda üretimine yönelik ilgi giderek artmaktadýr. Ayrýca, günümüzde iklim deðiþikliði tarýmý önemli ölçüde etkilediðinden, konvansiyonel tarýma yönelik incelemeler artmakta ve iklim-akýllý tarým, rejeneratif veya korumacý tarým, organik tarým, permakültür ve agroforestri gibi çeþitli sürdürülebilir tarým kavramlarý ortaya çýkmaktadýr. Bu derleme makalesi, farklý sürdürülebilir tarým yaklaþýmlarýný tanýmlarý ve ilkeleri açýsýndan bilimsel literatüre dayanarak karþýlaþtýrmakta ve kentsel alanlarýn da sürdürülebilir gýda üretimi için uygun olduðunu göstermektedir.
Bu çalýþma, Macaristan'da çevresel açýdan sürdürülebilir tarýmýn mevcut durumu hakkýnda bilgi vermeyi amaçlamakta ve özellikle ülkede ilgi gören yenilikçi bir uygulama olarak permakültüre odaklanmaktadýr. Permakültür, Macaristan'da sürdürülebilir tarým ve bahçeciliðin en geliþmiþ biçimlerinden birini temsil etmektedir. Ýyi geliþtirilmiþ bir kurumsal çerçevenin yaný sýra saðlam eðitim ve öðretim kaynaklarýndan faydalanmaktadýr. Dahasý, permakültür hem kýrsal hem de kentsel alanlarda uygulanabilir, bu da onu tüm bölgelere yayýlmaya uygun hale getirir. Ayrýca, Macaristan'daki baþarýlý sürdürülebilir tarým örnekleri diðer ülkelerdeki benzer giriþimlere ilham verebilir, böylece iklim dostu ve çevresel açýdan sürdürülebilir gýda üretim yöntemlerinin daha geniþ çapta benimsenmesini teþvik edebilir. Bu çalýþma birkaç temel soruya yanýt aramaktadýr: Macar çiftçiler permakültürü nasýl tanýmlýyor? Bu tarým yöntemi ne gibi avantajlar sunuyor? Ve ülke genelinde benimsenmesi nasýl daha yaygýn bir þekilde teþvik edilebilir? Macaristan'ýn deneyimleri, çevresel açýdan sürdürülebilir ve iklim dostu tarým uygulamalarýný teþvik etmeyi amaçlayan diðer ülkeler için deðerli bir model oluþturabilir.
Sustainable urban food production with a special focus on permaculture from Hungarian perspectives

Moreover, as today's climate change significantly impacts agriculture, there is increased scrutiny of conventional agriculture, with various sustainable agriculture concepts emerging, such as climate-smart agriculture, regenerative or conservation agriculture, organic farming, permaculture, and agroforestry. This review article compares different sustainable agriculture approaches in terms of their definitions and principles based on the scientific literature, showing that urban spaces are also suitable for sustainable food production.This study aims to provide insights into the current state of environmentally sustainable agriculture in Hungary, focusing specifically on permaculture as an innovative practice that is gaining traction in the country. Permaculture represents one of the most advanced forms of sustainable farming and gardening in Hungary. It benefits from a well-developed institutional framework, as well as robust educational and training resources. Moreover, permaculture can be practiced in both rural and urban areas, making it suitable for expansion across all regions. Additionally, successful examples of sustainable agriculture in Hungary may inspire similar initiatives in other countries, thus promoting the broader adoption of climate-friendly and environmentally sustainable food production methods. The paper seeks to answer several key questions: How do Hungarian farmers define permaculture? What advantages does this farming method offer? And how can its adoption be encouraged more widely throughout the country? Hungary's experiences can serve as a valuable model for other nations aiming to foster environmentally sustainable and climate-friendly farming practices.
