2024 Yerel Seçim Vaatlerinin Gölgesinde Kentsel Mekâný Tartýþmak

Bu çalýþma 2024 yerel seçimleriyle birlikte siyasi partilerin kamuoyuyla paylaþtýðý yerel seçim bildirgelerinin kentsel mekân çerçevesinde incelenmesine odaklanmaktadýr. Seçim bildirgeleri, kentsel mekânýn sorunsallaþtýrýlarak, bu kapsamda politikalarýn üretildiði metinlerdir ve partilerin yerellere dair gelecek planýný açýklamaktadýr. Bu metinlerde, özellikle kentsel mekâna yönelik vaatler önemli bir yer tutarken; yine bu metinlerde, diðer partilerin özellikle iktidar partisinin ve yereldeki iktidar partilerinin kentsel mekâna iliþkin politikalarýna yönelik eleþtirilerine de yer verilmektedir. 2024 Yerel Seçimleri sonuçlarý itibarýyla þimdiden Türkiye siyaseti açýsýndan önemli bir yere sahip olmuþtur. Seçim sonuçlarý üzerinde kentsel mekânýn son 20 yýlda aldýðý formla birlikte seçim süreci de etkili olmuþ ve bütün bu geliþmeler seçim bildirgelerinde üretilen politikalara yansýmýþtýr.
Bu nedenle, bu çalýþma kapsamýnda, Türkiye’nin son 20 yýlda aldýðý mekânsal formun yaný sýra yerel siyasetin Türkiye siyaseti açýsýndan önemi de ele alýnacaktýr. Bu makalede, 2024 yerel seçimlerinde, büyükþehir, il, ilçe belediye düzeyinde seçimi kazanmýþ olan siyasi partilerin yerel seçim bildirgelerinin, katýlýmcýlýk, kentsel rant, kentsel dönüþüm, vadedilen mekân kurgusu ve geleceðin kentleri için üretilen politikalar ekseninde incelenerek, yerel siyasi gündemle birlikte kentsel mekânsal geliþimi arasýndaki etkileþimin aydýnlatýlmasý amaçlanmaktadýr.

Discussing Urban Space in the Shadow of the 2024 Local Election Promises

This study critically examines the local election manifestos disseminated by political parties to the public within the framework of urban space in the lead-up to the 2024 local elections. These manifestos serve as significant texts that not only articulate the political narratives surrounding urban issues but also reflect the strategies and policy proposals of the parties regarding the future development of localities. They outline parties' plans for the future of local areas. These texts prominently feature promises concerning urban spaces, while also including criticisms of the ruling party's urban policies, particularly those of local ruling parties, by other parties. With the results of the 2024 Local Elections, it has firmly established itself as a significant player in Turkish politics. The election outcomes were influenced by both the transformation of urban space over the past 20 years and the electoral process itself, with these developments being reflected in the policies articulated in the election manifestos.
Therefore, this study will examine the spatial transformation Turkey has undergone over the past 20 years, as well as the significance of local politics within the broader context of Turkish politics. This article aims to analyze the local election manifestos of political parties that won in the 2024 local elections at the metropolitan, provincial, and district levels, focusing on urban space-related issues, including urban rent, urban transformation, proposed spatial structures, and policies for the cities of the future. By doing so, the study seeks to illuminate the interaction between the local political agenda and urban spatial development.
